STOP… DROP… and NURTURE YOU!

Hello everyone!  I have a question for all of you - How well have you been taking care of you?  By that I mean, are you actively participating in activities and mindsets that Nurture You?  Hmmmm...... good question, right?  OK, if you find yourself answering with less than an enthusiastic YES, then let's take some time to regroup and refocus on nurturing you!

Today, right now, I need you to STOP – stop what you are doing, stop what you are thinking, stop your excuses.   Now DROP – drop the phone, drop the laundry, drop the TO DO list!  OK, now that you are in this pause mode, I need you to sit down, somewhere comfortable, somewhere quiet.  Take three deep breaths – inhale, exhale, that’s one.  Inhale…. Exhale… that’s two.  Inhale… exhale… that’s three.  Great, you’re ready to get to work on Nurturing You.

Sitting here right now, feel how your body feels.  Feel each limb and organ.  What is your body saying to you?  Feel your heart.  Is it telling you something you have been ignoring?  Take a few more breaths if you need to right now.  You see, Nurturing You is about giving YOU what you need – not just when it is convenient, but when your body needs it.

So where are you right now?  Listen in that quiet space.  What is your body telling you it needs?  Do you need to relax right now or do you need some fun or fresh air?  Maybe it’s telling you that you need some physical touch or some mental stimulation?   Whatever it is, it’s unique to you.

Now that you’ve listened to your body, it’s time to act!  Give yourself a big dose of self-love by addressing that need.  What can you do RIGHT now, in the next few minutes to take action on that need?  Nurturing you does not need to be complicated!  It is not complicated unless we make it that way.  I have been taking (and loving) more naps, doing more reading, and organizing my office more than I “planned”, but that is what my body is asking for right now and it feels really good!

I understand how difficult it is to stop in this busy, busy, BUSY world we live in.   I too sometimes get caught up in this busyness hurricane!  I have learned to “watch the weather” by taking these pauses in my day.  I have found that not only can I prevent many a storm, I actually find that I have more sunshine in my days (more energy, more productivity, better decisions, more joy).

Now it’s your turn.  Continue to create the Best Version of YOU by taking the time to STOP, DROP, and NURTURE YOU!

What is Radiant Achievement?

What is Radiant Achievement? In order to speak to Radiant Achievement, I want to first address strategic achievement because the latter is how most of us have been programmed to operate. Set the goal. Achieve the goal. Repeat. Success is then defined by one’s ability to culminate the most repeats. Growing up, I was taught that if I wanted something bad enough, I needed to go out and get it myself. So, at age twelve, when I realized I wanted to do things and buy things that my parents weren’t able or willing to provide, I got my first job. I took 100% responsibility for my success, which translated into me taking 100% of the actions; no one was going to help me to accomplish my goals. And what this really meant is that I suffered in silence. I hated asking for help; I thought I would be judged as weak or lazy for asking. That is the crux of strategic achievement. Because it is more fixed on structure and hard work, it is severely limited. It requires us to spend time in our head, connec...

The Perfect First Step When You Start Your Goal

Hello, my friend! I know it's been rocky times for many people. I am back here with some motivation and inspiration if you are feeling stuck on any of your goals, especially if you're stuck at the starting line!  Here's to getting started and making progress toward your goals, dreams, and callings!

I'm Pregnant! (but not with a baby)

Yes I am pregnant.... but not the way you may be thinking! I am pregnant with a product idea (in the beauty market) that has been slowly growing inside me.  This is exciting and scary all at the same time, a lot like it felt when I was pregnant my two children, especially my first one! I have decided, with the encouragement of a dear friend, to share the conception, pregnancy and upcoming birth of my product.  My hope is to inspire other women to commit to making their dreams a reality, whether it be with the development of a product they've created, movement to the career they REALLY desire to have, or the writing of the book they have deep in their heart.  As I began to share my idea with people in my life, I found myself feeling as if I was sharing a precious secret.  I was a bit unsure how my friends would react.  Would they be excited for me or have that look on their face that says "It's a long road, are you sure you really want to do this?"  My...
